"This game is unique!"

Editor's pick

"Firstly I would like to say how gorgeous this game is to unbox. The board is made from bamboo and printed with soy inks. It is so lovely to handle and I couldn't help but keep touching the board! My husband and I played this storytelling game with two of our daughters and we loved it. It really engages all players. connecting with their imagination regardless of age. The aim of the game was to answer questions and use these answers to tell a story, whilst moving around the board. I really liked that there were no winners or losers, yet it still felt like a game. It was really engaging for children and adults alike..."

“This game stands out in so many ways. First of all: the board is beautiful. It is made from bamboo and printed with soy inks. The other game pieces are all very strong and won't break soon. Second: this game is a story telling game where in everything is possible and active listening is key. That makes it great for kids to learn to listen, and to feel comfortable to tell a story and to use their imagination. I played it with just adults and it was a lot of fun.
The story was crazy and really original."

Board Game Review

"This is a beautiful game. My daughter (aged 12) enjoyed opening the box for the first time; the bamboo board and cards are really attractive. You start by turning over Moon Cards that contain through-provoking questions such as: “What fills you with awe?” and, “If you could live by your own rules, what would you do differently?”. The questions caused us to really think as you can only write short answers. The players then start telling a story using prompt cards and responses from the Moon Card questions. Our storytelling was quite random at first but it evolved and we gradually got into the flow! There are no winners or losers; it’s a gentle entertainment of thinking and creating. It’s beautifully made and works well. My daughter loved writing with the pen and rubbing it off again!..."

“My experience learning about and playing CircleTales brought to mind the "Four Cs" that educators are trying to build into their classrooms to prepare students for 21st-century global society. The Four Cs in education are collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. CircleTales asks players to access all of the Four Cs in order to find group and individual success. As a licensed educational psychologist, I can see how CircleTales would be a useful tool to aid the development of prosocial communication skills in a non-threatening, collaborative and creative environment.
